Full-Time Regional Manager – Life Cycle Services (LCS)

Job Description

Reports to: General Manager – SBL Hub – West Africa
Location : Accra – Ghana



The Regional Manager for Life Cycle Services (LCS) is responsible for the performance of all aspects of the LCS business in his or her region. The main areas of responsibility and focus are: Contract Performance, Development of local LCS resources, capabilities, competence, and Assessing and supporting new potential LCS opportunities in the region.


Contract Performance

While the Project Managers are directly responsible for all performance aspects of their respective contracts, the Regional LCS Manager is responsible to provide assistance and direction to ensure:

  • resources, tools, and training are in place so that all Company responsibilities at site can be achieved and conducted in a safe and professional manner
  • competence and capability of all site resources
  • customers are providing a safe work environment for Company’s site employees
  • Company has implemented an adequate HSE program at site that abides to all customer requirements and local legislation
  • financial performance of each LCS contract in the region and ensuring any remedial action of non-performance
  • timely monthly performance reports of each LCS contract in the region
  • accounting of each contract is performed within Company guidelines – cost reserves, depreciation, sales recognition, etc
  • price adjustments are followed and implemented as per the contract requirements
  • there is adequate inventory of parts at site, on order, in the pipeline, planned, etc to fulfill Company contractual obligations
  • strong communication process and relationship between the customer and the LCS site dispute resolution between Company and the customer

Development of Local Resources

  • collaborate closely with the local FSE organization to ensure SBL maximizes utilization of their labor resources
  • participate in the development and management of the local service training program
  • assist in the recruitment and assessment of potential LCS resources
  • Support of Local LCS opportunities
  • assist the regional sales organization in LCS sales efforts
  • assess the viability of specific LCS opportunities with the local sales organization before any proposal commitments are made to the customer
  • assist in the development of LCS proposals and estimates
  • provide the communication link between the local sales organization and the global LCS resources
  • all other functions deemed necessary to promote and secure LCS opportunities in the region
  • Reports directly to: General Manager of West African SBL Hub

  • Etc
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in the management of service resources in the heavy industry sector – preferably mining
  • A proven track record of professional accomplishments and reliability
  • Familiarity with the broad range of MCT Mining and Construction equipment / products and services
  • High sense of urgency and the ability to develop action plans, and meet deadlines
  • Experience in complex matrix organizations / relationships
